ART DIRECTION / VISUAL IDENTITY / GRAPHIC DESIGN
The Brand Bowl is an event hosted by the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications where people come together and decide which Superbowl advertisements scored and which ones fumbled. (and also enjoy plenty of food and football)

THE ASK
As the Art Director, I took on the challenge of a complete rebrand. In a timeline of one week I was able to ideate and create an entirely new logo, color palette and typographic system for the Brand Bowl. I then applied the new branding into a variety of social post graphics, certificates, and an entire screen layout for the Atlas Lab.

DESIGN FOUNDATIONS
When developing the visual system for the brand bowl colors and fonts were chosen to give a nod to the UF blue while standing apart from any colors associated with an NFL team. The fonts were selected to be applied on screen based applications. Using a bold extended font applied motion to the text while prioritizing legibility. Imagery was selected to exemplify the overarching theme of football.
To build upon the visual identity I created illustrative assets and texture libraries that would further strengthen the event's brand identity. Dashed lines are used to guide the eye while simultaneously alluding to play card lines. The texture applied is a halftone filter, reflecting the same pigskin texture of a football.

EXTRAS
After the event, I created a banner and a certificate for the participants to share on their LinkedIn and social media channels to boost awareness of the event.
